From there, you will travel through historic Clarkdale, built by Senator Clark who owned the largest copper mine in Jerome. Clarkdale was designed as one of the first company towns in the United States. Next, begin your 1800 foot ascent up Mingus Mountain into Jerome. You will experience some of the most panoramic and awesome vistas anywhere in Arizona. You will have the option to start your tour at either Pillsbury Wine Company or Arizona Stronghold Vineyards. These wine tasting rooms feature a relaxing atmosphere that is perfect for wine enthusiasts to sit and try out some of the best Arizona wines. Our guides will entertain you with factual stories about Arizona wine, Pillsbury’s quest to make wine or the history of Maynard Keenan and Eric Glomski’s collaboration to make Arizona Stronghold. Pillsbury Wine Company is owned and operated by Sam Pillsbury, a former Hollywood director and producer.
